June 16, 2009 - Now is your chance to experience vineyard work first hand. On June 27th we will be shoot tucking & suckering our vines, and we would love your help. Experience first hand what it is like to work in a vineyard, and you will be rewarded with a fabulous complimentary lunch prepared by our executive chef Candace Hartley. Join us next Saturday for good fun and great food at Church & State Wines.

Restaurant Opening
May 30, 2009 - Church & State Wines is pleased
to announce that Executive Chef, Candace Hartley, formerly of Dunsmuir
Lodge, has joined our team. Candace is eager to cook again for old
friends and new at our beautiful Brentwood Bay winery. Starting June
3rd, we will be offering “A Vineyard Luncheon” menu, which will
showcase local products, and of course, our award winning wines. Those
looking for a light snack are also welcomed to share our antipasto or
local cheese plates at our Tasting Bar.

2006 Quintessential named "Best Red Wine of the Year"
May 18, 2009 - The judges of the 2009 All-Canadian Wine Championships have awarded the 2006 Church & State Quintessential the title of “Best Red Wine of the Year” at their annual national competition. Not only did the Quintessential receive “Top Red Wine” honors, it was also awarded Best In Category - Double Gold for Meritage Blends over $25. In addition, the 2007 Church & State Cabernet Merlot also won Best In Category - Double Gold in the Meritage Blends under $25 category.
Over the course of one week, 30 wine reviewers, sommeliers, and industry professionals from across North America congregated in Windsor, Ontario to judge a total of 1,071 different wines, submitted from 173 wineries across the country
